Water at Calero, Rancho Canada del Oro, 3/11/23 by Ronald Horii
On Saturday 3/11/23, I went for a wildflower hike that ran through Rancho Canada del Oro Open Preserve and Calero County Park. It was after weeks of unusually wet weather. A moderate atmospheric river dumped rain on the area on Thursday and Friday. Saturday was just supposed to get scattered showers. I've never seen so much water in Calero and Canada del Oro. I went on the same hike on February 11: https://tinyurl.com/y9ymbevs. Since then, there's been more rain. These pictures show what the water in the park and preserve look like now. The wildflower hike pictures will be shown in a separate album. These are my pictures of Rancho Canada del Oro Open Space Preserve: http://www.rhorii.com/#RCDO. Here's information and maps: https://www.openspaceauthority.org/preserves/rancho.html. These are my pictures of Calero County Park: http://www.rhorii.com/#Calero-RanchoSanVicente. Here's Calero information and a map: https://parks.sccgov.org/santa-clara-county-parks/calero-county-park. There will be another wildflower hike here on April, 2023. Reservations are required.
