End of August, the Philippines Secretary of Health accompanied WHO country team to Laguna, to assess the current and long-term needs for assistance following the flood caused by tropical storm Trami (or Maring).
Among other types of assistance, WHO is providing primary health-care emergency-response kits; technical guidance and support for the control and management of waterborne and mosquito-borne diseases; and post-disaster disease surveillance.
