Historic Photos in Burger Pit on Blossom Hill Rd, 12/10/19 by Ronald Horii
On 12/10/19, I had lunch with some friends at the Burger Pit on 1349 Blossom Hill Road in San Jose. It's been there a long time, since 1964. Unfortunately, it may be closing next year. From what I heard, their lease will not be renewed after it runs out in April 2024:

Here are the pictures they have on the walls. If you want to see them, go before they close. They include historic pictures of the New Almaden Mines and the town of New Almaden itself. There are also historic pictures of other parts of San Jose. How did they get the pictures? I heard that Connie Perham loved to eat at this restaurant. She was the founder and owner of the original New Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum. The pictures came from historian Clyde Arbuckle.
