High Water: Stevens Creek Trail in Mountain View, 1/12/23 by Ronald Horii
After weeks of rain, I've been looking at local creeks and watching them rise rapidly, mostly Coyote Creek and the Guadalupe River. I was curious to see what Stevens Creek was like, so on 1/12/23, a rare dry day, I rode my bike on the Stevens Creek Trail, starting from its trailhead in Mountain View. I took it all the way to the Bay Trail in Shoreline Park. (That's covered in a separate album: Bay Trail: Mountain View to Palo Alto, Creeks and Birds, 1/12/23: https://tinyurl.com/yue5m695.) The last time I was on this part of the Stevens Creek Trail was in July, and I made this album:
Stevens Creek Trail to New Palo Alto Baylands Bridge, 7/10/22:

There are more pictures of the Stevens Creek Trail, Shoreline Park, and the Palo Alto Baylands on my Bay Trail pages: http://www.rhorii.com/index.html#baytrail. Excellent overview of the creek and trail. I like how you provided the contrast pictures from July and the stream data.
