Santa Teresa Park Runoff After the Rains, 1/5/23 by Ronald Horii
San Jose got 1.34" of rain in the recent storms. It's not a lot compared to other parts of the Bay Area. San Francisco got over 10" of rain in the past 11 days. Still 1" is a lot for San Jose, which is in the rain shadow of the Santa Cruz Mountains. After days of rain, I was curious to see the effects of the rain on Santa Teresa Park. Just before sunset on 1/5/23. I went to some of the entrances to the park. This is what I saw.

Ron, do you know how Bernal Road (climbing to IBM) is holding up? I used to ride that a lot for training (quick jaunt up/down repeat). I noticed that cracks in the asphalt were not getting patched. I was worried then about rain, never thought we'd ever get this much.
