Banjo Paterson Competition - Win Gold & Silver Coins!, merkitsijänä The Perth Mint
As we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Australia’s most famous bush poet, here’s your chance to win one of five gold or silver coins depicting Banjo Paterson. Worth over $1,600, the prize pool comprises a 1/4oz gold coin, a 5oz silver coin, and three 1oz silver coins.
HOW TO ENTER
Check out these five gorgeous illustrations created by Perth Mint coin designers featuring one of Banjo Paterson’s most popular bush characters – Mulga Bill. Alas, proud Bill thought he could ride a new-fangled bicycle without any practice, but his incompetence saw him crash into Dead Man’s Creek! (Poem http://ow.ly/rt5y)
As a comment on your favourite illustration, write a short phrase describing what Mulga Bill must have thought as he hurtled “white as chalk” towards the Creek. Be as creative, comical, original (and clean) as you can and enter as many times as you like.
Best five answers win a coin prize accompanied by a signed copy of one illustration.
Closing date: 16 December 2013.
