FOSTP and Volunteer Clean Up Day at the Bernal Ranch, 11/4/22 by Ronald Horii
The Friends of Santa Teresa Park (FOSTP) had a cleanup day on 11/4/22 at the Bernal Ranch in Santa Teresa County Park.
FOSTP members there were Mike, Youngmee, Greg, and me. There were 2 additional volunteers recruited by the County Parks' Volunteer Office. Park Maintenance Worker Jason asked us to clean out the drain along the retaining wall along Manila Drive. It was full of dirt. We had previously cut blackberries under the ceanothus bushes along the drain, but they were growing back. The wall is covered with climbing figs, and they were starting to grow into the drain. We cut back the blackberries and climbing figs and cleared the dirt from the drain. Here are more pictures of Santa Teresa Park, events, and past cleanup days: http://www.stpfriends.org/#newpictures
