Pioneer Day, Casa Grande, Almaden Quicksilver County Park 10/8/22 by Ronald Horii
On 10/8/22, the New Almaden Quicksilver County Park Association (NAQCPA) held their Pioneer Day celebration at the Casa Grande in Almaden Quicksilver County Park. It has been an annual event for NAQCPA since 1983. This was the 40th year since Pioneer Day started, but it was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic, so this was the 38th time it has been held. It has been at different locations over the years and has had different themes. This year's theme was to honor NAQCPA leaders who have passed away recently, particularly co-founder and President Kitty Monahan. These are pictures from today. There were greetings from invited dignitaries and memorial tributes to departed members. Here are videos of the talks: https://tinyurl.com/4jb8fmhx.
