BioBlitz at Coyote Creek Visitor Center, 6/19/22 by Ronald Horii
On 6/19/22, this BioBlitz event was held at the Coyote Creek Visitor Center in Anderson Lake County Park, near the trailhead for the Coyote Creek Parkway: "Located in Morgan Hill, the park we will be at is a safe haven for many species of plants and animals right along Coyote Creek. Join Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful and BioBlitz.club in cataloging and documenting all of the living things that reside there. We will have experts in various fields to help guide participants through all the cool plants and wildlife.
The best part? All you need to participate is a smart phone with the iNaturalist app!" Participants met at the Coyote Creek Visitor Center. Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful had a sign-in tent with information. Participants split up into groups, led by experts, and explored the area, looking for living things and uploading observations into the iNaturalist app. ------------------ Links: This event was organized by Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful: https://www.keepcoyotecreekbeautiful.org/ ------------------ https://www.facebook.com/CoyoteCreekSJ/ ------------------ It was organized by biologist Merav Vonshak, who has been holding BioBlitzes in other parts of the county.
