A42 Phone Camera Test at Santa Teresa Park Part 1, 5/10/22 by Ronald Horii
I got a new smartphone. My old phone, a 16 GB Moto E4, was running out of storage for apps, and it would not store pictures to the SD memory card. I couldn't take pictures with it because it kept running out of memory. I also couldn't add new apps. I got a new Samsung A42, which has 128 GB of memory and can store both pictures and some apps to the SD card. (I added a 64 GB card.) It also connects to 5G, so it should be supported for a long time. I got the new phone for the extra memory and the affordable price ($11/mo), not for the camera. Since it has a camera, I thought I'd check it out. It actually has 3 cameras. It has a 48 MP rear camera, an 8 MP ultra wide angle camera, and a 13 MP selfie camera. It's a mid-range phone in the Samsung line, so the cameras are middle of the road. I went to Santa Teresa Park to test out the front phone cameras (I don't do selfies). Here are some test shots. These have been uploaded as-is, with no editing. So far, the phone looks like it takes decent landscape shots in bright sunlight. Here's a review of the phone: https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-a42-review-1640904/
Here's Part 2 of the phone camera test:
