Ulistac Natural Area, Santa Clara, 5/1/22 by Ronald Horii
I 5/1/22, I went for a ride on the Guadalupe River Trail, starting from Tamien Park in Santa Clara. As usual, I stopped at 40-acre Ulistac Natural Area, the only dedicated natural open space preserve in the City of Santa Clara. It's an oasis in the middle of highly-developed Silicon Valley. The last time I was there was in February. It's good to see it any time of the year. It used to be a golf course. It's been planted with California native plants from around the state.
