Sycamore Terrace by Almaden Lake, 1/27/22 by Ronald Horii
At the northeast corner of Coleman Road and Almaden Expressway is a new 1.42-acre park, currently under construction. It's called Sycamore Terrace, because of its huge native sycamore trees in the center of it. It's in a strategic location at the end of the Guadalupe River Trail, the start of the Lake Almaden Trail, and across the street from the start of the Guadalupe Creek Trail. At one time, it was slated to be used for housing, but it turned out to be a bad location for housing, but a good location for a park. This is about how the Open Space Authority's urban grant program enabled the creation of Sycamore Terrace as a park:
