Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve, After the Rains 12/17/21 by Ronald Horii
As of 12/18/21, San Jose has received 4.85" of rain since July 1, which is 148% of normal. That's good news so far, after the dry year we've had prior to that. On 12/17/21, after several days of rain, I went to check out Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve. The last time I was there was in July, when it was bone dry: https://tinyurl.com/295jjvjd. The hills were brown, and the creeks had no water in them. Here's what I saw today. The hills were green, and the creeks were flowing.
