Ribbon-Cutting for the New Trail at Santa Teresa Park, 12/11/21 by Ronald Horii
On 12/11/21, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new trail in Santa Teresa County Park. (It is temporarily called the Curie Drive Trail, but will be given a permanent name by a naming committee, probably next year.) The Friends of Santa Teresa Park (FOSTP), which has been advocating for this new trail for more than 2 decades, partnered with the County Parks to put on this event. It was held below Santa Teresa Spring, which Park Maintenance has transformed into a nice picnic area (see first album below). FOSTP had an information table with maps, newsletters, park brochures, cookies, and candy. A large audience gathered to hear talks by VIPs. There was a ribbon-cutting, then a guided hike on the new trail (see second album below). Afterwards, there was an unveiling of the time capsule (see third album below).
