Almaden Quicksilver Winter BioBlitz, 12/5/21 by Ronald Horii
On 12/5/21, I went to a BioBlitz at Almaden Quicksilver County Park, starting at the Mockingbird Hill Lane entrance. It was led by biologist Merav Vonshak and sponsored by Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful (KCCB). Here was their description of the event: "Almaden Quicksilver County Park is a safe haven for many species of plants and animals. We will catalog and document all of the living things that reside there. We will have experts in various field to help guide participants through all the cool plants and wildlife."

The participants become citizen scientists and record observations of living things on their smartphones, using the iNaturalist app.
