Ghost Tour of New Almaden, 10/30/21 by Ronald Horii
On the day before Halloween, 2021, longtime New Almaden resident, historian, and New Almaden Quicksilver County Park Association (NAQCPA) member Mike Boulland gave a tour of New Almaden for the "Bay Area Hiking And Anything Fun" Meetup group. It was called the "Tall Tales, Whoppers & Famous Haunts" tour. In his talk, Mike mixed tales, legends, true history, and some whoppers. He has been giving tours like this in New Almaden and Santa Teresa for many years. Here's a tour he gave in 2008: http://www.stpfriends.org/GhostTour-10-25-08/GhostTour.html
New Almaden is an historic district. There's a walking tour guide to it that can be picked up at the park mapboards and in the Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum: http://www.newalmaden.org/NAQCPA-docs/NAQCPA-Step-Past-town-tour.pdf
