BioBlitz, Coyote Creek Trail, Milpitas, 10/17/21 by Ronald Horii
On 10/17/21, this BioBlitz event was held:
"Located in Milpitas along the Bay, the Coyote Creek Trail hosts a unique environment to host wildlife that like brackish water and cool, moist environments. And, this time of year is the beginning of bird migration, so you may see birds you don't normally see. Join Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful, BioBlitz.club and Grassroots Ecology to catalog and document all of the living things that reside there. We will have experts in various fields to help guide participants through all the cool plants and wildlife."
It was organized by biologist Merav Vonshak, who has been holding BioBlitzes in other parts of the county. Merav created this website for BioBlitzes: https://www.bioblitz.club/ ------------------ and this Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/bioblitz.club ------------------ BioBlitzes use the iNaturalist app or website to record observations of living things: https://www.inaturalist.org/ ------------------ This is the project page for this BioBlitz: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/coyote-creek-bioblitz-near-mccarthy-rd ------------------ It was sponsored by Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful https://www.facebook.com/CoyoteCreekSJ/ ------------------ Here are other BioBlitzes that I've been to: http://www.rhorii.com/#Bioblitz
