Drought Tour Pt4: Los Alamitos/Calero Creek, 8/18/21 by Ronald Horii
This is a continuation of my drought tour of the Guadalupe River watershed in the Almaden Valley. After touring the Guadalupe Creek Trail, I crossed Almaden Expressway to Almaden Lake and the Los Alamitos Creek Trail. I followed the trail around Almaden Lake and continued to its end at McKean Road. I came back down the other side of the creek. On a previous trip, I went along the Calero Creek Trail. I have a picture of the creek from then. Water in Alamitos Creek originates from Almaden Reservoir. Water in Calero Creek comes from Calero Reservoir. The two creeks merge near Camden Ave. and Queenswood Way.
