I can honestly say I have never seen a chicken in such poor condition. Poor things have been deprived by sunlight by look of their pale complexion. Get well chickens xx

Such a heartwarming story. My goal by next year is to rescue a couple of battery chickens. They will have a lovely garden to roam in and dogs and cats to look out for them! This is an inspiring story! Thank you for all you do and did!

They look so sad and battered. Our 20 rescue hens and two roosters who survived the hatchery selection are now doing well and have their feathers back. (Unfortunately two died shortly after arrival to our home, they were too weak.) They love roaming around in freedom, scratching the earth, rolling in a self dug hole, simply resting stretched out in some sun. And they come running when they see me. Such a rewarding experience.
