Martial Cottle Park, After a Hot Day, 6/18/21 by Ronald Horii
Friday 6/18/21 was a hot day, though not as hot as the previous day. I stayed indoors most of the day. By 6pm, it was still in the 90's. I got tired of being stuck indoors, so I decided to go for a bike ride. I started at Martial Cottle Park, rode to the Guadalupe River Trail and around Almaden Lake, then came back. While moving on a bike, I create my breeze, so it was like having a fan on me all the time, and I never felt hot. The trails were unusually uncrowded, even for late in the afternoon. As people poked their noses outside and realized it wasn't hot anymore, they started to come into the park. Here's what I saw on the Martial Cottle Park part of my bike ride.
