The Rusty Areias Community Garden is at Martial Cottle Park on Chynoweth Avenue, behind Our City Forest. People have been planting gardens. There are flowers and vegetables growing. Here's more information about it:

"Rusty Areias Community Garden opened for operation in March of 2021. The garden offers 46 garden plots for this first phase of construction. 36 plots are in-ground and ten plots are ADA. Future plans for 2nd and 3rd phase of construction will provide approximately 100 additional plots to the community. The garden sits on the property belonging to Santa Clara County Parks. The City of San Jose and Santa Clara County Parks have entered into special leased agreement to make this effort possible for the community."
