Martial Cottle Storm Clouds and Rainbows, 3/10/21 by Ronald Horii
It was raining off and on today. There were gaps in the clouds, and I was hoping I might see some dramatic skies and hopefully rainbows. I went to Martial Cottle Park, with its wide-open sky views. It started to rain on me as I got there, but the sun came out. I was expecting to see a rainbow, but there was no sign of one. It's because rain on my head doesn't make a rainbow. It has to move farther away, and it did. As I got to the middle of the park, a rainbow appeared. A double rainbow was faintly visible. I also got a glimpse of the snow on the Diablo Range. Unfortunately, Mt. Umunhum was covered with clouds, so I couldn't tell if there was snow on it. The aloe was blooming, and the fruit trees were blossoming. Here are some pictures:
