Hakone Gardens, Saratoga, 4/8/12 by Ronald Horii
On Easter Sunday, I took my wife and son to one of the most beautiful places in the South Bay in the springtime. This is Hakone Gardens in Saratoga. It only covers 18 acres, but the scenery and variety of trees, flowers, and structures is amazing. It is the oldest Asian estate and garden in the Western Hemisphere. It provides endless photo ops. It's a favorite place for taking family pictures. Lots of trees were blossomng. I didn't pay attention to what they were, but I think they are cherries. Here are my pictures. My son took a lot on his own. He's in several of the pictures with his camera. — at Hakone Gardens. (near Hakone Gardens)
