NeoGeo Restoration von Left Handed Gamer
Bought at an auction with only one reference picture... this baby needs some love.

I still have to get the lock off the back, drill out the marquee cabinet lock and inspect the wiring. I'm scared and not sure where to even start...but wiping down and cleaning out the guts sounds like a good start.

You're almost in the same boat as me. I just picked up my cab last weekend and have some work to do as well. I can log in on the Neo-Geo forums, but can't post for some reason...but here's the link to what I have going. http://imgur.com/a/2iUks#0

Actually picking up a monitor today, just ordered a power supply and JAMMA harness yesterday. So cleaning is my main priority right now. The cabinet itself is pretty decent, so I don't know if I want to repaint it or not. Kinda want it to look like a battle worn warrior to some extent.

Yeah, the Neo-Geo forum requires moderator approval. It took em about 2 weeks to activate my account... and that was after I emailed Shawn twice. I think they're too busy dealing with that DavidG counterfeit cart scandal right now.

I just went through your restoration photos. I think we're in similar boats for sure. You got the harder task though because of the wiring harness being cut off. Who does that!?

You've probably already seen the thread on another site but there's a guy that did a v3 restoration with custom graphics and LED buttons and such that came out pretty amazing. Granted, he owns a printing company so he could do all the vinyl work himself.
