I've been to the Los Altos History Museum before. For a local history museum, the quality of the exhibits are really impressive, like what you might expect at a big city museum. I saw they had a new exhibit, called "Shaped by Water," which shows the role of water in Santa Clara Valley's history. It also discusses current issues and conservation measures.
