San Jose's Edenvale Gardens Park is a unique place. It is built upon the grounds of a former amusement park, Frontier Village. It was a western-themed park which closed in 1980. Frontier Village was built on the grounds of the Hayes estate. The historic Hayes Mansion was part of that estate. It has been restored into a conference center and spa resort.
