I went to the Sierra Vista Trail Opening Celebration on Saturday Oct. 22, 2011. Sierra Vista OSP is above Alum Rock Park in San Jose. Normally, it is only accessible by going through Alum Rock Park. For this event, access was permitted from Sierra Road. The event celebrated the opening of 6 miles of new trails, the 2 mile Sierra Vista Trail and 4 mile Calaveras Fault Trail.
