GUINAYANGAN MASSACRE COMMEMORATION | QZN KONTRA-PORK | CLF-CLAIM by Karapatan-Quezon
Thirty three years ago - February 1, 1981, more than 6,000 farmers marched at Guinayangan Quezon to call for the Government’s attention to their concerns - land reform, fair price for copra, livelihood and other agricultural needs - but instead of listening to their cries, bullets were hurled back at them by the Philippine Constabulary, killing two and injuring more than one hundred of the marchers.
This year, February 1, 2014, the commemoration is themed: “KARAPATAN, KATARUNGAN, KAPAYAPAAN: Sigaw ng mga Mamamayang Nagkakaisa sa ika-33 taong Pag-alala sa Guinayangan Massacre”.
