Views of Snow-Covered Mountains from Santa Teresa Park, 2/5/19 by Ronald Horii
I heard on the weather report that there would be snow in the Bay Area down to 1000 feet and possibly lower. I woke up early (for me) the next morning and headed to Santa Teresa County Park, since it's a good place to see both the Santa Cruz and Diablo Range mountains. Coyote Peak is one of the best viewpoints in the Bay Area, since you can see from San Benito County to Marin County on a clear day. I first went to the Bernal Road parking lot near IBM and took pictures of the Sierra Azuls, which includes Mt. Umunhum. Then I went down to the Pueblo Day Use Area and hiked up to Coyote Peak. I took pictures from the peak and went partway down the Boundary Trail to get pictures of the Coyote Valley and Laguna Seca. The Diablo Range summits were covered with clouds, so I didn't see Mt. Hamilton until I got back to the Pueblo Area. Here are some of the pictures:
