Campbell Library SCC Parks/Preserves Photo Exhibition 2/1/19 by Ronald Horii
Today, I installed a photography display at the Campbell Library, using pictures from a previous show. Back in September 2011, I had a photo exhibition at the Santa Teresa Branch Library, not far from Santa Teresa County Park. http://www.stpfriends.org/Photoshow/Ron-show.html
I displayed 10 matted photos of Santa Teresa County Park and 6 posters of other parks and preserves in Santa Clara County. After the exhibition was over, I kept everything. Last December, I was at the Campbell Library and saw a notice on a blank wall near the entrance that invited artists or photographers to display their work on the wall. I contacted the librarian and arranged to display my pictures. I put up the 6 posters and made a new poster with pictures of Santa Teresa County Park, some of which were the same ones as in the 2011 show. The pictures will be on display until February 28. Here's the address and hours for the Campbell Library: https://www.sccl.org/campbell

Since I'm not a pro, I couldn't afford to make professional prints. 8X10 paper prints at Costco cost $1.79 each. A metal print at a pro lab like Bayphoto costs $20 for an 8X10. For the Santa Teresa Park poster, I went to Staples and printed them out on a laser color printer for a total of $3.56 for 6 8.5X11" prints. I bought a pack of 3 posterboards with invisible guidelines for $5.23. I mounted the prints using spray adhesive. I cut strips of foam core board that I had on-hand and used them to stiffen the backs of the posters so they would hang from the rods without flopping around.

What a great project, Ron! Tim and I are going to go see it. Great way to share these beautiful places with people who may not yet have experienced them.
