On 10/27/18, the first La Fuente event was held at Santa Teresa County Park's Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch. It replaced the Fandango event, which was a nearly annual event since 2006. This was the description: "Come join us for the next big event at Santa Teresa Park's Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch: La Fuente. La fuente means 'the source' or 'the origin' in Spanish. Come celebrate la fuente of the unique community histories from the past, present, and future at Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch. The afternoon event will feature cultural presentations, local community organizations, family activities, and children's games.FREE and fun for all ages!"
