Alum Rock Park Hike, 10/14/18 by Ronald Horii
On 10/14/18, Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority docents Joan and Jean (and me) led a hike in Alum Rock Park. This was the description of the hike:
"Are you looking for something fun to do that will get you out of the house? Join Open Space Authority docents and staff for a fun and engaging nature walk at Alum Rock Park, our neighbor. Bring $6 for parking and meet us at the Ranger Station. We will walk up the creek trail to the Sycamore Grove Area. There you will have the option of hiking up the hill with us for a 3-mile round trip, or you may head back down along the creek for an easier walk. We will share our knowledge of local trees and animals along the way! Please bring water and a light snack. Alum Rock Park has a no pets policy."
