Viva Calle SJ 9/23/18: Branham to SoFA by Ronald Horii
9/23/18 was Viva CalleSJ day. It's a huge annual event that closes several miles of city streets so thousands of people can bike or walk them without having to deal with vehicle traffic. Along the way are lots of activities and resource booths. This year, the route followed Monterey Road and South 1st Street from Branham Lane to E. William Street downtown. It also included Branham Lane from Monterey Road to Martial Cottle Park on Snell Avenue.

I started the tour at Branham Lane and Monterey Road at an activity hub called the "D2 Elbow." Here are pictures of that:

I then rode my bike down Branham Lane to Martial Cottle Park, where there was a major activity hub.

I came back to the D2 Elbow, then rode north along Monterey Road to South First Street and the event of the event at East William Street. There were lots of booths along the way, some by businesses
