Soap Plants Opening, Santa Teresa Park, 6/5/18 by Ronald Horii

Today, I went to a spot on the Ohlone Trail in the park, near the junction of the Coyote Peak Trail, where I knew there was a patch of soap plants. I saw them blooming several weeks ago. I was curious to see if they were still blooming. While they had mostly gone to seed, there were still plenty of buds left to bloom. I saw a couple of buds starting to open up. I should have taken a video, but I took a succession of shots showing the buds opening. They popped open. They opened very quickly.
