Maker Faire: Outdoor Exhibits, 5/19/18 by Ronald Horii
I've heard about the Maker Faire in San Mateo for many years, but never went to it until this past Saturday. My son was in it with his group, the Mandalorians, as an exhibitor, so I thought I'd go see it. I spent all day there. It's a huge event that celebrates the do-it-yourself mentality. It's a mixture of art, engineering, science, and imagination, with a little bit of insanity. I saw pretty much everything, but it took me about 8 hours, and I kept moving without lingering too long at one place. I took 1370 pictures. I'm not going to show all of them (thank goodness). Here is a sample of the outdoor exhibits. I don't have the descriptions of all of them. Use your imagination.
