Rancho San Vicente Late Spring Flowers & Views, 5/14/18 by Ronald Horii
I went for a short hike in Rancho San Vicente (part of Calero County Park) on 5/14/18. I've been to Rancho San Vicente many times since it opened on 3/24/18. I saw how the wildflowers changed from week-to-week. At this time, the late spring wildflowers are coming out, while some of the mid-spring wildflowers are still blooming. The lack of rain has caused the grasses to dry up, so the hills are less green. Here are pictures of flowers and landscape views. The flower pictures are grouped by species, not in chronological order. Most of them were taken along or near the Cottle Trail.
