Almaden Quicksilver Flowers and Plants, 4/8/18 by Ronald Horii
I went for a hike in Almaden Quicksilver County Park. I started at the Mockingbird Hill Lane staging area. I went up the shady New Almaden Trail, which runs mostly level and goes in and out of narrow ravines along the hillside. Then I climbed up the Buena Vista Trail, which starts out in an oak forest, passes through a grassy meadow, then goes through a chaparral forest. I then took the Randol Trail, which follows an old mine road, starting at the Buena Vista mine site. I took the Capehorn Pass Trail, which is a short connector trail leading to the Hacienda Trail. I then went up and down the very steep trail back to the parking lot. I saw these wildflowers along the way. I took my best guess as to the species and added links for more information. Trail pictures are in a separate album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1769528953070619.1073742357.100000405933924&type=1&l=e8607ceb00
