Wildflowers, Rocks, and Views, Santa Teresa Park 3/5/18 by Ronald Horii
I went for a hike up the Joice and Bernal Hill Trails in Santa Teresa Park, starting from the Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch. I was equipped with my mirrorless camera, wide-angle and telephoto zoom lenses, polarizing filters, and a closeup lens. I took these pictures of the views, wildflowers, and rocks. It's still early in the season, but some wildflowers are starting to come out. Poppies, buttercups, and spring beauty are the most numerous at the moment. Over the next few weeks, more should start blooming quickly. I predict the peak will come in late March/early April, depending on the temperature. I think with the late rains, which favor wildflowers over grasses, we should have an above-average wildflower bloom this year.
