Living History Day, Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum, 2/11/18 by Ronald Horii
On Sunday February 11, 2018, there was a special event at the Casa, the Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum in New Almaden. Here's the description: "Victorian Valentine Living History Day, Casa Grande/Quicksilver Mining Museum • 11:00am-3:00pm. Come visit the Casa Grande, once the magnificent home of New Almaden mine managers. Costumed docents will guide you through the historic home. Children can participate in valentine craft activities." There were activities and guided tours inside the Casa Grande. Outside, there was a tour of the Blacksmith Shop. Here are pictures of the event. They are organized by activity or location and are not necessarily in chronological order.
