Rancho San Vicente Staging Area Progress, 1/7/18 by Ronald Horii
Rancho San Vicente is the newest addition to Calero County Park. It will add almost 1000 acres to the park. The main entrance to it will be on McKean Road across from Fortini Road. The entrance includes a paved parking lot and restroom. It also has the trailhead to the Lisa Killough Trail, one of the main trails in the park. The staging area was supposed to be completed in spring of 2017, but was delayed by a number of factors, like the unusually wet winter. It is nearing completion and should be open this year. There was a dedication ceremony for the new trail in June 2017.
