Coyote Valley Walk and Talk, 1/6/18 by Ronald Horii
This was the event at Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve on 1/16/18: "Making the Coyote Valley Connection – a Walk and Talk: Join us for a gentle walk along the first leg of the Arrowhead Trail. We will discuss Coyote Valley’s local wildlife and their habitats, and the water sub-basin located in Coyote Valley. Santa Clara Valley is rich in natural resources and we invite you to come and learn how they all fit together."
It was led by Richard Tejeda. He is a docent and a Seasonal Educational Aide for the Open Space Authority. He really knows water, as he's worked for the Santa Clara Valley Water District as a Public Information Representative and studied sustainable water resources at SJSU. We had a large group show up. Richard gave a talk and demonstration about water resources in the parking lot, then led a hike on the Heart's Delight Trail and the Arrowhead Loop Trail. Here are pictures of the event:
