Family Fandango, Santa Teresa Park, 8/5/17 by Ronald Horii
On Saturday 8/5/17, the annual (except for 2015) Family Fandango festival was held at Santa Teresa County Park's Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch. This year, it was organized by park interpreters John Dorrance and Bridgett Orcutt-Diaz. My group, the Friends of Santa Teresa Park (FOSTP), had an information table, as usual, and members helped with the activities. I had a display of my pictures. The event included dancing, animals, caricatures, cattle roping and branding, butter-making, period clothing dress-up, 4H displays, kids' crafts, and games. Janice Frazier brought her horse Caribe. Here are pictures of the event. Some have been re-arranged chronologically to cluster the pictures of the activities together.

Here is last year's Fandango: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1160536273969893.1073742083.100000405933924&type=1&l=8fca6ce4de
There was no Fandango in 2015 due to staff shortages. Here is 2014's Fandango, with links to prior Fandangoes: http://www.stpfriends.org/Fandango-14/Fandango14.html
