Stile Ranch Trail Wildflowers and Views, 5/1/17 by Ronald Horii
On 5/1/17, I went for a hike on the Stile Ranch Trail to the Mine Trail and returned on the Fortini Trail in Santa Teresa Park. The Stile Ranch Trail is one of the best wildflower trails in the park and has awesome views. It's late for the spring wildflower bloom, so many early spring flowers are past their peak, but late spring flowers are coming out. The poppies are in full bloom. — at Santa Teresa County Park. (near Santa Teresa County Park)

I got there around 5. There was a breeze blowing, so it wasn't that hot.

So THAT's why they're called fence lizards!

Had a deputy who supervised guys out in a field. He had a pet male fence lizard lived in his shirt pocket for a year.
