Coyote Ridge Hike 3/29/17 by Ronald Horii
I went on the first Healthy People, Healthy Parks walk at Coyote Ridge Open Space Preserve. Here's the description:
"Our newest preserve, Coyote Ridge is known for its beautiful wildflower season. Join us for a gentle 1.5-mile round trip walk along a ranch road that winds through the amazing wildflowers. This Healthy People, Healthy Parks experience is for those interested in gentle exercise and observing wildflowers rather than a long, strenuous hike. Take Highway 101 to Bailey Avenue and head east. Just around the bend, you will find our event sign. Rain will cancel."

This hike stayed at the base of the ridge. Other hikes will go to the top of the ridge, starting from the bottom or from Motorcycle County Park, which is at the top of the ridge. Here are pictures from one of last year's hikes to the ridgetop from the bottom: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1073349666021888.1073742031.100000405933924&type=1&l=2daf284ac6
