Mine Hill Trail, Almaden Quicksilver, 3/11/17 by Ronald Horii
After several weeks of heavy and damaging rains, we've had several days of dry weather, allowing the terrain to dry out. The storms have caused erosion, landslides, fallen trees, and muddy trails in many County Parks. Almaden Quicksilver County Park has seen its share of problems. On a warm, dry day on 3/11/17, I hiked up the Mine Hill Trail from the Hacienda Area to just past the Randol/Capehorn Pass junction. Below are pictures of the hike. Here's a map of the park: https://www.sccgov.org/sites/parks/parkfinder/Documents/AQGuideMap.pdf — at Almaden Quicksilver County Park. (near Almaden Quicksilver County Park)
