Laguna Seca, Coyote Valley, 2/27/17 & 4/18/17 by Ronald Horii
I did another "Trails by Transit" adventure on 2/27/17. I took the #68 bus down Santa Teresa Blvd. to Bayliss Drive, the last bus stop before the Coyote Valley. I walked from there into the Coyote Valley to see Laguna Seca. Since there's no parking on Santa Teresa Blvd., this is the best way to see it, other than riding a bike. The lake is on private property and is fenced off, so it can only be seen by looking over the fence. Laguna Seca is a seasonal lake at the northwest corner of the Coyote Valley. It is an important wetland. It usually appears in the winter and dries up by late spring. This year is the fullest I've ever seen it.

At the end, I added pictures of Laguna Seca from the Boundary Line Trail in Santa Teresa Park, taken on 4/18/17. You can see how much the lake has shrunken by then.
