Coyote Creek at Flood Stage Between Tasman & Montague, 2/22/17 by Ronald Horii
Coyote Creek has been flooding because Anderson Reservoir is spilling. Creekside neighborhoods in downtown San Jose and the area around Kelley Park have been flooded. I wanted to see what the creek looked like, but safely. Since I can't drive at the moment, I needed to find a way that's accessible by public transit. I took the Light Rail to the Cisco Way station and walked to the Coyote Creek Trail at East Tasman Drive. I walked down the trail to Montague Expressway and came back on the other side of the creek. This is what it looked like. The trail was fine and high above the water, but the bridge undercrossings at Tasman and Montague were either flooded or muddy.

Here's a map showing this section of the Coyote Creek Trail: http://www.sanjoseca.gov/DocumentCenter/View/65190 — at Coyote Creek Trails. (near Coyote Creek Trails)
