High Water on the Guadalupe River, 1/11/17 by Ronald Horii
Heavy rains have caused high water in all the creeks and rivers in the Bay Area. After checking out the king tides at Alviso, I went up the Guadalupe River to see how much water was flowing in it. I started at River Oaks Parkway, then went to Tasman Drive by Ulistac Natural Area. I later went to downtown San Jose and the Guadalupe River Park to check out the river at Coleman Avenue and St. John St. The Guadalupe River Trail runs along the river, on both sides in some places. To follow the river, the trail has to go under bridges. Many of those bridge undercrossings were flooded.
