Vasona and Los Gatos Creek Trail Post-Flood 1/13/17 by Ronald Horii
After the recent heavy rains, Lexington Dam spilled, sending water down Los Gatos Creek uncontrolled. This caused flooding downstream in Vasona Lake County Park and along the Los Gatos Creek Trail. The rain finally stopped, and the sun came out on Friday 1/13/17. The flood waters receded somewhat, allowing Vasona and most of the trail to reopen. However, the creek was still running high, and parts of the trail were still flooded. Here are pictures of Vasona and Los Gatos Creek up to Hwy 85.
