Vasona Lake Fantasy of Lights Walk-Thru 12/4/16 by Ronald Horii
Fantasy of Lights is back at Vasona Lake County Park, making its 18th annual appearance. It opened on December 3 and 4 for a 2-day walk-thru event. This is the fourth year that the public has been allowed to walk through the 1.5-mile route of the Fantasy of Lights displays. It is normally a drive-thru event and will still be from Dec. 6-30. The walk-thru days allow people to see the lights at their own pace and from a closer perspective. They also have food trucks, Santa Claus, and T-Rex. Unlike the drive-thru days, however, they require a huge number of volunteers and staff to monitor and assist with the event, so it's not practical to have them every day. Here are pictures from the second day of the walk-thru, showing some of the volunteers and staff and a sample of the lights.
